Thank You from HOPE

Violence against youth did not begin, nor has it ended, with the tragedy that occurred at Columbine High School. Because of the tragedy's magnitude, the location, the media coverage of this tragedy and the ability of others to put themselves into our position, our families have been the recipients of an overwhelming outpouring of empathy, encouragement and support.

On that day, our lives, the lives of the people in our community and others throughout the world were changed forever by the tragedy at Columbine High School. We wish to express our sincerest thanks and deepest gratitude for all of your expressions of compassion.

With the help of generous donors like you, HOPE has been able to remove the existing library floor, the primary site of the massacre. The result of this renovation is a beautiful two-story atrium overlooking the Rocky Mountains, and a brand new library.

It is the wish of HOPE that these renovations will serve as another step in Columbine's healing process, and will provide a positive learning environment for all students and staff of Columbine High School.

On behalf of HOPE, we thank you very much for your caring and generosity.
